The narcocorrido is a subgenus music belongs to the northern, in northern states of México or for Hispanic music from Latin American communities in United Estates.
This is a recent version of the traditional Mexican corrido , and primarily seeks to celebrate or commemorate figures, people and events related to drug trafficking.
These songs do not seek, generaly, moralize the issue of drug trafficking, but rather describe the typical experience in which his characters are involved.
Like, there are added to the drug trafficker who narcocorridos virtues essential to the performance of their illegal activities,projected as men of power, courage, fair, smart, daring and resolute.
The Mexican states where there and hear this kind of corridos are mainly:
Durango, Jalisco, Michoacán, Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas,and y Baja California. Interpreters may be best known internationally Los Tigres del Norte.
