MUSCLE CARS

Muscle car is a term used to refer to a variety of high performance automobiles. At its most widely accepted the term refers to American 2-door rear wheel drive mid-size cars of the late 1960s and early 1970s equipped with large, powerful V8s and sold at an affordable price for street use and drag racing, formally and informally.
As such, they are distinct from two-seat sports cars and expensive 2+2 GTs intended for high-speed touring and road racing.
Muscle cars attracted young customers and their parents into showrooms, and they bought the standard editions of these mid-size cars. To enhance the halo effect of these models, the manufacturers modified some of them into turn-key drag racers.

The original tire-burning cars or muscle cars such as the AMC AMX, Buick Gran Sport, Dodge R/T, Ford Mustang, Oldsmobile 4-4-2, Plymouth GTX and Pontiac GTO, are "collector's items for classic car lovers."
Surviving muscle models are now prized, and certain models carry prices to rival some of the more highly valued European sports cars. At auction the rarest vintage 1965–1972 muscle cars can be appraised at over US$500,000 depending on model, options, condition, demand and availability. Some rare models like the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro with the ZL1 option are considered the equivalent of real estate or museum relics.
Reproduction muscle-car sheet metal parts and even complete body shells are available.

SEGUNDA GUERRA MUNDIAL

The Second World War was the largest armed conflict and bloody in world history, which faced the Allied Powers and the Axis Powers, between 1939 and 1945. Armed forces from over seventy countries participated in combat aircraft, naval and land. The effect of war died about 2% of the global population of the time (about 60 million people), mostly civilians. As World War began on September 1, 1939 (some historians argue that Asia is on its face declared July 7, 1937) to end officially on September 2, 1945.

Causes of World War II to the immediate outbreak of the same are, firstly, the 1939 invasion of Poland by the Germans and the Japanese attack against China, the United States of America and the British and Dutch colonies in Asia. The Second World War broke out after these aggressive actions in response to receive a declaration of war, armed resistance or both by countries and assaulted those with whom they had treated. At first the allied countries were formed only by Poland, United Kingdom and France, while the Axis forces consisted only in Germany and Italy, united in an alliance with the Pact of Steel [1].

As the war progressed, the countries that went into it (to be on a voluntary basis, or be attacked) lined up in one of the two sides, depending on your own situation. That was the case in the United States and the USSR, attacked by Japan and Germany respectively. Some countries, like Hungary, changed their alignment in the final stages of the war. [2]

Cd's History

In 1980 Sony and Philips set the standard for the digital audio compact disc format. In 1982, the first Sony CD player called the CD-101 was released with Billy Joel's 52nd Street being the first musical production. With the success of CDs the first portable car players became available in 1984. Then, in 1985, the automatic CD changer with a carousel appeared on the market. In the 1990s, the industry began to adopt various storage standards to unify the plethora of hybrid CD formats perfected by third-party developers. These commonly agreed-upon formats were published in a set of coloured-cover books, becoming commonly known by their de facto names as the coloured-book standards. Today many formats are available for various applications such as computer data storage imaging interactive multimedia , multi-session data and audio with the most common of these being the digital audio format.

In 1995, work on standardising the emerging Digital Versatile Disc or DVD had begun. The final standard made public in late 1996 has now settled the heated discussions on what the final format would look like. There were talks of double-sided CDs and some speculation on single-sided double-density formats. Well the vote is in, and the format as listed by Sony is a single-sided dual-layer disc. Despite this, there is still talk of extending this to double-sided media by Hitachi.

MOTOCROSS

Motocross is widely considered to be the world’s most popular form of motorcycle racing. Motocross is derived from a French term combining motorcycling and cross-country. Motocross tracks are usually made up of hills, dirt roads, and muddy tracks and turns. The size of the courses allows up to 40 riders to compete at the same time.
In motocross, professional races are measured by time. A professional race usually lasts for 30 minutes. After this time, once the leader has crossed the finish line, he is given a signal to show that there are two laps remaining. On the next lap, he is given the one lap to go signal and the race is finished at the end of that lap. This is called 30 minutes plus two laps.
Motocross racing is one of the most exciting sports to watch. Riders seem to perform death-defying turns and leaps. The effort used to control the bike is visible and the rider can be seen shifting his weight about to turn and maneuver the bike for maximum speed. The wheels often spin and spray up mud when a rider tries to control the traction of the bike.
Motocross racers must be extremely fit. The sport is very demanding on the arms, legs, shoulders, and glutes. The rider has to be able to keep control of his machine on a course that most people would have difficulty walking across. High-speed landings from a height of around twenty feet can slam the motorcycle and its rider. G-forces produced by these can test a rider’s endurance and strength to the limit.

DURANGO BEAUTIFUL

This is a nice article on my Durango where their limits are mentioned and their activities

Durango is extremely beautiful.

The state or estado of Durango is bordered to the north by Chihuahua, to the north-east by Coahuila, to the south-east by Zacatecas, to the south-west by Nayarit, and to the west by Sinaloa. Most of the state is heavily mountainous and a good part forested; the Sierra Madre Occidental occupies the western and central part of the state. This mountain range contains a good supply of minerals, including the silver that encouraged Spanish occupation of the territory after it was discovered. These mines extend north into Chihuahua and south into the state of Zacatecas. Vast desert basins in the Laguna District are irrigated by the Nazas River.

Major crops grown in the area include cotton, wheat, corn, alfalfa, beans, sorghum, and other vegetables.

Durango is famous for its scorpions. Mexicans generally refer to the people of Durango as Alacrán de Durango (Scorpions from Durango). The demonym for the natives of Durango is Duranguense(s).

The major occupations in Durango are farming, lumbering and ranching.

Skateboarding

Is the act of ride and make tricks using a skateboard, the person who skateboards are called skateboarder or skater. The skateboarding can be a sport, an art, a job, or can be used for transportation.
Skateboarding is relatively modern. The basic trick in skateboarding is called Ollie, the Ollie was developed in the 70s by Alan “Ollie” Gelfand as a half-pipe maneuver, and then born the freestyle by Rodney Mullen, and he was the first to take it in the ground and later invented the kick flip and an other variations.
The first manufactured skateboards were ordered by a Los Angeles, California surf shop, meant to be used by surfers in their downtime. The shop owner, Bill Richard, made a deal with the Chicago Roller Skate Company to produce sets of skate wheels, which they attached to square wooden boards. Accordingly, skateboarding was originally denoted "sidewalk surfing" and early skaters emulated surfing style and maneuvers. Crate scooters preceded skateboards, and were borne of a similar concept, with the exception of having a wooden crate attached to the nose front of the board, which formed rudimentary handlebars.
With the evolution of skate parks and ramp skating, the skateboard began to change. Early skate tricks had consisted mainly of two-dimensional manoeuvres like riding on only two wheels, spinning only on the back wheels, high jumping over a bar and landing on the board again, also known as a "hippie jump", long jumping from one board to another.
The use of skateboards solely as a form of transportation is often associated with the long board. Depending on local laws, using skateboards as a form of transportation outside residential areas may or may not be legal. Backers cite portability, exercise, and environmental friendliness as some of the benefits of skateboarding as an alternative to automobiles.
Skateboards, along with other small wheeled transportation such as in line skates and scooters, suffer a safety caveat where riders may easily be thrown from small cracks and outcroppings in pavement, especially where the cracks run perpendicular to the direction of travel. However, high average travel speeds help mitigate this; injuries are more likely to be minor, although very uncommon, head injuries still pose a major health risk.
